You can enter the site either via an introductory video that includes a reading of the Angel Island poem, or by skipping the video and going straight to the text of the poem itself.
Once you enter the poem and click on a character, you will be able to read or watch its translation in the video or textual poem that opens from it. Hovering on a character will only reveal its literal English translation and the title of the textual or video poem that accompanies the character. At the bottom of the page, you will have three options: one to go on to the next character, one to go back to the previous character, and one to return to the Chinese poem, symbolized by 诗 (poem).
To re-watch the Chinese poem’s introduction or to read its final English translation, please go to the menu, then choose either “Introduction” or “End” as desired.
